Our History

OC Pride began in 1989 as the Orange County Cultural Pride Festival in Santa Ana. After a hiatus starting in 2001, local activists revived the event in 2009 following the passage of Proposition 8. By 2012, the festival returned to downtown Santa Ana, and in 2013, it became an independent nonprofit organization. In 2024, OC Pride moved to the OC Fair & Event Center to accommodate its growing attendance

Our Team

OC Pride is driven by a passionate and dedicated leadership team committed to fostering inclusivity, advocacy, and celebration within the LGBTQIA+ community. Our leadership consists of volunteer Executive Board members, including Directors and Officers, who bring diverse expertise and perspectives to guide the organization's mission. In addition to our volunteer leadership, full-time paid staff work year-round to ensure the success of our programs, events, and community initiatives.
